Arts Inquiry Introduction

At the very start of our new inquiry Mrs Corbett put art up all over the walls. There was art works from all different types of artists including, the following:
Paintings, drawings, photographs, abstract art, jewellery, garden art, street art, architecture and many more.
We looked at these art works and tried to think what the artist was trying to say and what we thought was their motivation.

Eye expert

Mr Buller is an ophthalmologist (eye doctor) and came to talk to us about how we see light and colour and the different problems we might have with our eyes.
Thank you for taking the time out to share your knowledge with us!

Equals Train

In maths today we looked at the equals sign being a sin of balance. We made carriages for our trains that were all the same as each other but represented in different ways.

Zombie Tag!!!??

No better way to spend a dry afternoon than playing zombie tag! Max bought himself a sports pass and this is what he chose to do :-)

Maths - Volume

We are learning about volume and cubic centimetres. These models used 24 cubes that were 2 cubic centimetres. That made the volume of each 48 cubic centimetres. We wanted to see how many different models can be the same volume.

Cross Country

Wow, what an amazing effort was made at the cross country yesterday! We were so lucky it didn't rain on us! Enjoy some photos of our class really pushing themselves.

Buddy Time

This morning Room 7 came into our classroom. We enjoyed sharing some books with them and then took me outside to play line tag. It is great to build relationships with other children in our school.
